Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply directly for Charter Membership?

No. Charter Membership is extended by invitation. You can submit a confidential Expression of Interest, which the Membership Committee reviews. Submitting is not an application and does not guarantee an invitation.

What is an Expression of Interest, and what happens after I submit one?

It is a short, confidential introduction to your experience and how you would like to contribute. The Membership Committee reviews it, and if there is alignment with current criteria and community needs, a TiE Vancouver representative may contact you for a confidential conversation and, where appropriate, an invitation process.

Can I nominate someone for Charter Membership?

Yes. Use the Expression of Interest form and note that you are nominating someone, then share the person's details. We recommend letting them know before you submit.

What is the difference between the membership types?

Charter Members give back through leadership, mentorship and investment. Power Couple is for the spouse of a Charter Member, and NextGen is for children of Charter Members aged 18-32. NextGen Membership is only for children of TiE Vancouver Charter Members, aged 18-32.

Are memberships annual?

Yes. All memberships are annual. You can see the fee for each membership in the Choose your path section above.
