We give Canadian founders access to pre-seed and seed funding, and connect them to a global investor network spanning Canada, the US, India and beyond. Founders benefit from local mentorship and advisory support while building relationships with investors around the world.
TiE Angels is TiE Global's platform for Charter Members worldwide to invest in startups. It gives entrepreneurs a source of funding that brings the power of TiE's global network with it, and operates through investors in the Americas and India.

Applications are reviewed by a volunteer committee of experienced angels and entrepreneurs.

Affiliation with the TiE Incubation Lab offers pre-seed advisory and cohort-based mentorship four times a year.

What we look for
Submit your application at any time. Intake is rolling, so there is no deadline to wait for.
Our screening committee reviews each application, drawing on members with relevant industry experience.
Shortlisted founders receive guidance on their pitch, materials and investor readiness.
Present to TiE Vancouver Angels, our forum of Canadian and global members.
If there is investor interest, one or two lead angels guide due diligence and negotiations with your team.
Where interest is strong, your startup can be referred to TiE Angels chapters worldwide to complete a larger round.

TiE Vancouver Angels focuses on pre-seed and seed funding. The best time to apply is once you can show validation of your concept and have a committed team in place. TiE Angels is a forum to raise investment rather than to get feedback on an early idea. If you are earlier than that, TiE Nurture may be a better fit.
TiE Vancouver Angels is dedicated to funding and fostering Canadian entrepreneurs. Strong opportunities can also be shared with TiE Angels chapters across North America and India.
Investment decisions are made by individual angels after the investor forum and due diligence. One or two lead angels typically coordinate diligence and negotiations with the founders.
